Local Landmarks That Inspire Our Craftsmanship

At Everett Deck Builders, we believe a beautiful deck should be just one part of a life well-lived outdoors. We love our city and all it has to offer—from scenic views to historic charm. Here are five of our favorite Everett landmarks that remind us why we’re proud to build here.

1. Evergreen Arboretum & Gardens

📍 145 Alverson Blvd, Everett, WA 98201

Nestled in Legion Memorial Park, this free public garden is a hidden gem. It features themed gardens—Japanese, Northwest Native, and Woodland Shade among them—offering peaceful paths and gorgeous backdrops for strolls or inspiration. We’ve taken more than a few pergola ideas from the trellis structures here. If you're into landscaping around your deck or patio, this is a must-visit.

2. Howarth Park

📍 601 Smith Island Rd, Everett, WA 98201

Where forest meets shoreline, Howarth Park is one of Everett’s best spots for beach access, dog walks, and sunsets. The long staircase down to the water and open picnic spaces make it ideal for family outings. Whenever we build a deck with a water view, this is the type of scenery we imagine. It’s also a great place to see how composite materials hold up in salt air and moisture—something we think about constantly when choosing materials for clients.

3. Port of Everett Marina

📍 220 Marina Plaza, Everett, WA 98201

This working waterfront is packed with charm—think dockside restaurants, boat watching, and breezy boardwalk strolls. It’s a favorite weekend spot for locals and one of Everett’s most vibrant areas. It also reminds us of the importance of good design in high-traffic outdoor spaces. Whether you're building a deck for entertaining or relaxing solo, the Port proves that the right outdoor space can set the perfect vibe.

4. Angel of the Winds Arena

📍 2000 Hewitt Ave, Everett, WA 98201

Home to the Everett Silvertips and host to concerts, expos, and sporting events, this arena is a hub of community energy. It’s where Everett comes together to cheer, celebrate, and connect—just like people do on a well-built deck. We like to think of every pergola or patio we build as a smaller version of that gathering space—just with better snacks and no lines for the bathroom.

5. Everett Carnegie Library

📍 3001 Oakes Ave, Everett, WA 98201

Built in 1905, this historic building blends classic architecture with local history. It's a beautiful example of craftsmanship that stands the test of time—something we aim for in every deck we build. The arched windows, masonry details, and rich textures are surprisingly relevant when thinking about structure and finish details in custom wood decks. History buffs and design nerds alike should take a stroll by.
